    Art curriculum runs September 4th - May 30th


    ART CLUB (Grades K - 8)
    Primary Instructor: Emily Tuma
    Monday thru Wednesday 3:45 - 5:15 p.m.
    Monthly Tuition $40.00

    • Art Club (Grades K - 1) Monday
    • Art Club (Grades 2 - 3) Tuesday
    • Art Club (Grades 4 - 8) Wednesday

    An after school program designed to expand both sides of the brain via exploration of the visual arts.  Students will explore a variety of media such as drawing, painting, and sculpture.  All activities incorporate the fundamental Elements and Principles of Art.  Each project this year will introduce the student to a different culture or will be related to art history.  Visiting Artists will present stimulating projects within their area of expertise.  Limited to 12 students.

    Visiting Artists may require an additional $5.00 fee.  For example clay, glazes, and kiln space for Carolyn Bailey's Ceramic sessions require this fee.


    HOMESCHOOL ART (Multi Grade Levels)
    Primary Instructor: Emily Tuma
    Thursdays 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.
    Monthly Tuition $40.00

    INSTRUCTOR
    EMILY TUMA, Owner & Primary Instructor.  State of Idaho K-12 Certified Art Teacher.

    Emily has worked for the Twin Falls School District for over six years.  Emily began working for the District as an elementary school Playground Aid, an elementary school Librarian Assistant, and a Guest Teacher.  Emily currently works part time for the District assisting students with academic needs at the G.O. Program.  This year will be Emily's third year working at the G.O. Program and running the after school art program at the Twin Falls Creative Arts Center.

    VISITING ARTISTS
    CAROLYN BAILEY, State of Idaho Certified K-12 ELL Teacher & Experienced Artist.

    Carolyn will facilitate a Ceramics session for each Art Club class and Homeschool Art throughout the year.  This is Carolyn's third year as a Visiting Artist.  Carolyn's amazing faith and talents have greatly contributed to the success of the Twin Falls Creative Arts Center.

    KRISTINA KRAHN, Owner of A Peace of Happiness & Experienced Artist.

    Kristina is a new Visting Artist this year and will share her talents in Tie-Dying with each Art Club class.

    ROSEMARY STOKER, Experienced Teacher & Artist.

    Rosemary Stoker will orchestrate a Puppet Show with one of the Art Club classes for the Opening Night of the Twin Falls Creative Arts Center's Annual Art Exhibiton, Monday, April 28, 2008.  This is Rosemary's third year as a Visting Artist, and her wide-array of talents has played an intregal part of the development and success of the Twin Falls Creative Arts Center.

    JOLENE TUMA, Crocheting & Knitting Enthusiast.

    Jolene may facilitate Crocheting & Knitting classes throughout the year, as available.  Jolene is Emily's mother and has been a cornerstone of support in all of the Twin Falls Creative Art Center's activities.  Jolene has transported students to class, provided snacks and taught classes.


    SPACE RENTAL
    The Center is available for rent during non-scheduled hours for artists, workshops, and various organizations.

    PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
    Private lessons are available Thursday & Friday afternoons.
    Cost $20.00/hr.


    FOR YOUR INFORMATION

    • Art supplies are included with tuition except where indicated otherwise.
    • Class sizes are limited.  To register please call Emily Tuma at the Center (208) 737-9111 or on her cell phone (208) 358-3927.  You may also register for classes by printing off the Registration Form provided below and mailing it directly to the Center, or email your request via the email address provided below.
    • The Twin Falls Creative Arts Center follows the Twin Falls School District's calendar.  For example when school is not in session, art class will not be held, with the exeption of the Kindergarten Only No School/Inservice Days.
    • Additional family members receive a $5.00 discount.
    • Visiting Artists may charge an additional $5.00 fee.
    • New students pay a one-time registration fee of $5.00.
    • Participation in the Twin Falls Creative Arts Center's Annual Art Exhibition is optional.  The fee to participate is $7.00.
    • Opening Night of the Exhibition will be Monday, April 28, 2008, at 6:30 p.m.  The Exhibition will remain on display for two weeks.
    • The Exhibition is held in the hallway outside of the Magic Valley Arts Council.  The Magic Valley Arts Council is located at 132 Main Avenue South, Twin Falls, Idaho.  The Magic Valley Arts Council's phone number is (208) 734-ARTS.
    • The Twin Falls Creative Arts Center is a Member of the Magic Valley Arts Council.
