    Visiting Artists

Carolyn Carolyn Bailey facilitates hand-building with clay at the Center.  Caroyln is a State of Idaho Certified K-12 English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher as well as an experienced potter.  This is her third year as a Visiting Artist.

Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages (Spanish), with a K-12 endorsement for English as a Second Language (ESL), which is now called ELL, from Montana State University, located in Bozemna, Montanna, in 1995.  Carolyn worked for six years with the Shoshone School District No. 312 as an ELL Teacher.  Even though she is now retired she remains certified and volunteers in the Kimberly School District with the ELL and Spanish Departments.  Carolyn's passions are arts and crafts in many forms, and she says, "I love teaching Pottery to children because they love to learn with their hands and they are so creative."

Jolene Jolene Tuma offers her talents in crocheting and knitting at the Center, as well as volunteers her time in any, if not all, of the classes offered.  Jolene says, "I learned to knit as a child and find that knitting and crocheting are very relaxing, and the final product is functional.  Children love to keep their hands busy and are excited to realize the fun of finishing a project they can use."

Jolene graduated from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1968, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  In 1971, Jolene earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado, located in Boulder, Colorado.  Jolene is the owner of Curry Retirement Estates, an assisted living facility, located between Twin Falls, Idaho, and Filer, Idaho.  Jolene is Emily's mother.

Kristina Kristina Krahn is the owner of A Peace of Happiness, an arts and crafts business based in Twin Falls, Idaho.  Kristina is a master of tie-dying, and looks forward to creating fabulous tie-dyes with the students this year at the Center.

Rosemary Rosemary Stoker integrates her multiple talents in music and sewing with the visual arts by producing and directing a Puppet Show/Operetta with one class of the Twin Falls Creative Arts Center for the Art Exhibitions.  This year will be Rosemary's third year as a Visting Artist and her fourth Puppet Show/Operetta with the students.

Rosemary received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Music from Idaho State University, located in Pocatello, Idaho, in 1989.  Aside from studying piano and percussion as a child and in college, Rosemary continues to study piano with Teala Percin.  Rosemary has taught Grades 1-4 at Acorn Learning Center, in Twin Falls, Idaho, and Pre 1st, 1st Grade, and Gifted & Talented (Grades 3-8) in the Kimberly School District.  Rosemary has taught cooking and sewing in 4-H for five years, and taught piano lessons when her children were young.  Rosemary says, "Children have always inspired me.  I see myself as a guide and mentor more than a "teacher of great knowledge."  Learning requires respect on both the part of the teacher and the student."
